New Year Greeting 2026 – A Modest Toast
✍️ Author’s Note
A modest toast with Pol Roger and a simple wish:
may the year ahead be rich in ordinary wonders —
and may we notice them.

Greetings
New Year’s Eve holds two candles: remembrance and intention.
Between them stands the present — quiet, luminous.
We honour what has been without clinging;
we welcome what will be without hurry.
The calendar turns,
but meaning hides in the small acts of attention we offer each day.
This year, may we practice presence as hospitality —
toward ourselves,
toward others,
and toward the world as it is.
Let us measure not only what we achieve,
but what we truly notice:
a message answered with care,
a walk taken in cold light,
a conversation that warms.
If joy is a craft,
then the present is the workbench.
We raise a glass to the patient craft of living well,
one attentive moment at a time.
✨ “To the present we can share,
and the year we will make —
moment by moment.”
🌟 Thank you for reading, for your time, and for being here.
